How To Show Off Your Muscles (Men)

0

If you’re a guy who spends a lot of time slaving away in the gym, it’s important that you do so for the right reasons and that you have more on your mind than just impressing women. While impressing women is all fine and well, if you are solely setting out to get the laidees on-side then you’ll likely find that this is insufficient motivation to get you down there day after day. You have to want to get into shape and you have to actually enjoy the process of working out so that you are actually looking forward to going to the gym each session rather than dreading it.

That said though, there’s nothing wrong with enjoying the way it makes the women look at you and you may as well make the most of it once you have put in the time and effort. But how do you go about doing this? When you’ve spent ages building up muscle, how do you go about ‘subtly’ showing off your muscle without looking completely vein?

The good news is that there are some clever ways you can accomplish just this. Here we will examine those.

Dress Right

First of all you need to know what you need to wear once you’ve built muscle. The secret is to choose fitted clothes, but nothing too tight. Fitted clothes are necessary however, as if you wear a big baggy shirt it will hang from your pecs and this will make you look portly rather than built. Similarly it’s important to make sure that you show off your biceps in the right light which means tight-ish sleeves and short enough sleeves that at least some of your biceps are visible.

Training Right

You also need to make sure that you focus on building the correct muscles and not all muscles will show up equally well. One important group then to train are the forearms – these are crucial as they will show whenever you wear short sleeves. Likewise you should strengthen the neck and the traps which will poke out the top of the t-shirt, and you should work on getting a big chest and wide arms. Those wide arms by the way should be composed of a lot of tricep – and it’s important you don’t make the mistake that many people make of training their biceps a lot and forgetting they need to workout their triceps too (which make up 2/3rds of the arm ideally).

The Moves

There are also some poses, positions and moves you can pull off to help your muscles stand out. One trick for instance is to take off your jumper in such a way that it brings your t-shit up with it. It looks like an innocent enough mistake, but you then get the opportunity to show off your abs to anyone who may be looking.

It’s also important to stand the correct way. If you are holding a pint glass or a glass of wine then this is a prime opportunity for instance to bend your arm and to tense your biceps. And when you fold your arms every bodybuilder worth his salt should know how to push the biceps out from underneath with his hands to get them to really bulge.

You’re welcome.
